G‘d up in that Gucci in today’s post! Ever since Alessandro Michele was appointed the creative director at Gucci, the multi-million dollar brand has become electrically contemporary with vintage prints and making the double G pop whether on a finely crafted leather bag, belt, or accessory. The shirt I am wearing is by graffiti artist Trevor Andrew who made his name famous by spray painting Gucci’s double G logo pattern on alley walls and dumpsters all over New York. I guess you can say mans scammed his way into a Gucci collab for now his work can be found on Gucci garments as well on the walls at a Gucci store.

I remember hearing Offset’s verse in the track “Gucci On My” in collaboration with Mike Will Made It, 21 Savage, YG, and the remaining two members of the Migos. In the song he says “Not good, I’m Gucci” and to my surprise, I had a revelation. Its okay to not be good sometimes. Whether it be society or the explore page on your Instagram, we are inclined to think that we are supposed to be happy all the time and say yes to every single opportunity that is presented to us. But as humans, we each have a limit in terms of how much we willing to tolerate and withstand whether it be mentally, emotionally and physically.  I’ve been taking on a lot of projects that I cannot wait to show you this year and there have been moments where I find that the more I take on, the more I get myself into quicksand. I didn’t set boundaries for myself. Instead of being silent and having these things weigh me down, I had to speak up and say no. At first I was afraid for I didn’t want to let others down but sometimes you have to acknowledge that you not good in order to be Gucci. You gotta think high-end in order to be high-end, ya feel me?
