Pink Pursuit

Totally came across these photos and it dawned on me that they were from two months ago, smh. I’ll take the L on that one ya’ll, my bad. I am not the type to get deep into my personal life but there are time where I do feel that I am not doing enough with myself creatively. There’s times where I feel inspired to create and the feeling itself is euphoric. Everything happens so fast in those moments and I wish I could be in the present and enjoy it. But then there is other times where I don’t have the motivation to keep going but at the same time, I am in constant pursuit of living my life to the fullest and to leave my ego and fears at the door when it comes to learning new things. Which reminds me, I need to finish that “Ego is the Enemy” book by Ryan Holiday.

That’s a wrap in terms of my personal life, now let’s talk about this look! I can’t front, nothing gets me more turned on than a vintage garment. Especially if it is a garment that you would never see yourself wearing. Pink has always been a fashion no-no for me for it makes me feel prissy. You know, prissy like Regina George from Mean Girls or even worse, Sammi Sweetheart from Jersey Shore. After copping my first pair of pink Air Max 95 sneakers, it inspired me to embrace the color more and ya’ll, it really ain’t all that bad. I found this vintage gem of a cardigan at a vintage shop on Whyte Ave. It was hanging oh-so gracefully on the top of a door and we proceeded to have a staredown session.  As you can see in the photos above, ya’ll know how the story ends. To make the look more androgynous, I put a black modern crop top over a white boyfriend shirt. If I were to make the look more daring, I would lose the white boyfriend shirt and wear a silver body chain underneath the crop top.  Hope you guys enjoy this look, let me know what you think in the comment section =)
