I‘ve come to acknowledge the moments where I don’t feel like my true self. My vision this past week has altered for one day I wake up feeling great and the next day, it’s the complete opposite. I spend a lot of my time alone, constantly asking God if my future is looking bright or not. Being a writer, you have to constantly be active on social media, a platform that creates false realities for everyday users. I would question my femininity in terms of what I looked like and wore. Is my highlight bright enough? Is this shirt too loose? Are these shoes missing a heel? I had to take a step back to regain consciousness as to who I truly was and why I started this platform: to inspire readers to style their lives in the most genuine and colorful way possible while acknowledging lessons learned throughout her journey. Wow! Just reading that back made me erase the original writeup for this post and to instead write from the heart. Dang, is that my groove calling me to come back? =) Baby steps Camille, baby steps.
