The title itself needs no introduction! Last Monday marked my twenty something birthday as you may have read a few posts ago (click here to be reminded). If you must know, I turned 25 last Monday and I wasn’t ready for the responsibilities that came with being half a century old. This past Saturday, my girlfriends threw a surprise birthday party for me and managed to hide it without my knowledge at Yianni’s Taverna on Whyte Ave.  I was lead by both babes to the bottom of the stairs where I was greeted by cheers made by my closest friends. Clearly overwhelmed by all the love, I turned into the Michael Jordan crying meme while my homies took snapchat videos of me wiping lash glue from my eyes. The night was supplied with food, drinks, a signed birthday poster, numbered balloons, cake and Pokemon GO catchers (Sarah and Horc I see ya’ll in the corner!). My girl Hood Joplin and her bae Carter supplied the auditory vibes while homies Sven and Brandon looked at Facebook memes. Local rappers Danny Cash, TK Cabral, ROOM XI, and Mourainé serenaded ya girl with live performances (Am I dreaming?). This was honestly a night I will never forget and to be honest, everything I ever wanted for this birthday, I got that night and that was to be surrounded by good people. I want to personally thank Maegan, Samantha, Kez-Anne, Sierra, Ashlee, my parents and the staff at Yianni’s for organizing this birthday party and for rounding up my closest friends to be part of a night that I will forever hold dear to my heart. You are all loved! Thank you for coming out to celebrate this milestone with me Check out a few snaps that fellow rager Sarah took during the event, you the real MVP!

Enjoy the recap!
