Over the course of this year I have developed quite the fascination with watches. I swear when I come to think of it now, this obsession came from my father who casually enjoys showing me watches on his tablet that he intends to purchase behind my mom’s back. The great thing about watches is that they’re practical and no matter how understated they may look, they somehow manage to play the role of the attention getter. This year I added another timeless piece to my watch collection that is a little bit different from what I normally gravitate towards. Instead of falling for the gold metal strap with the flashy face to match, I went towards a more practical wooden timepiece by JORD luxury wood watches. The watch I am currently wearing is from the Fieldcrest series and is made entirely out of Zebrawood. JORD also offers watch models made from woods such as Sandlewood, Maple, Rosewood and Ebony. When the little wooden box showed up at my doorstep, I was shocked at how light the watch felt and the fact that it doesn’t leave a watch mark on my left wrist. As opposed to pairing the watch with earthy tones, my fashion sense went down a more flamboyant-yet-casual route. Flamboyant meaning a red turtle neck paired with a white waistcoat while the print on your Vans sneakers remind you that Valentine’s Day is this week and you slowly begin to cry on the inside… for about 2 minutes.
