Behind The Scenes: BBM Dance YEG

Calling all Bad Bitches! This past Sunday I had the honor to style the lives to the baddest (click here if you are unfamiliar with the term) group of female dancers that this city has to offer. They are known as Bad Bitch Mentality and I can assure you that there is more to these girls than just their pretty faces. Their purpose is to empower women by showcasing their confidence through creative movement. Founder Sarah Dharshi cordially invited me to not only style the girls, but to capture the vibe from behind the scenes while photographer Chan Rin of Vivid Ribbon works his magic behind the lens. I got a chance to meet the girls to get a sense of their personal style and pose them in front of the camera when needed. If you’ve been following my snapchat (caamillexo), I got the chance to ask a few of the girls what it means to be a “Bad Bitch” and they managed to define the term not only on Snapchat but also in their individual shots that left me contemplating my next #WCW. If confidence was a clothing brand, these girls would be the ambassadors, models, spokeswomen, and founders. Overall, these ladies managed to prove that a bad bitch is a confident woman who lets nothing bring her down and as opposed to taking the term as an insult, she embraces it by looking how she wants and doesn’t need validation from the opposite sex. Thank you ladies for inspiring me to embrace my inner bad bitch and for letting me style your lives, as if you girls need it though. Also big shout out to Chan for letting me assist with the shoot and jumping in to glam up the gals. Enjoy the recap from behind-the-scenes. Stay winning girls! #StyleYourLifeWithBBM
