Bout time this girl saw the light! I feel as if I’ve been boxed indoors this past week and finally got the chance to remind myself what Downtown Edmonton looks like. This past weekend I had the chance to meet Edmonton blogger Diana Bistran and together we indulged in raspberry tart’s at Dauphine’s Bakery on 104th Street. Of course we came dressed to kill for there’s an old saying, “When thy outfit is cute, thou shalt not put it on mute.” I just made that up. Anyways, prior to our date, I became quite enamoured by the Fear of God Fourth Collection presented by designer Jerry Lorenzo. I’ve always had a love for bomber jackets and Lorenzo’s creations never fail to amaze me. He puts heavy emphasis on jacket shape and zipper detailing to give off a militaristic vibe. One can only dream of owning a piece from Lorenzo’s collection but for now, I’ll stick with the army coloured bomber coat that I spotted while casually strolling past Oak + Fort (I strongly dislike the word temptation). What’s great about this jacket is that you can wear it all season long, and not to mention that the interior is fully lined, therefore making it ready for battle. The jewelry was kept simple and to make the outfit roar, I reached for the classic Givenchy Rottweiler clutch from Tisci’s 2011 collection. Must. Eat.More. Raspberry. Tarts.
