So I have been taking a break from the art of blogging to focus on real life situations; from office work, preparing teaching material and looking after my finances like a normal 23 year-old would do. This means less time for creativity, sorry folks. To make it up to you, here are a few shots from a photoshoot that I did with my friend Brian, a photographer based here in Edmonton. We made a pit stop at the Alberta Legislature grounds to capture a few outfit shots. The weather was so hot, I contemplated taking an epic holy bath in the swimming pool in front of the legislature for all to see while in the nude (too much information, Camille). You get the story. I’ve become obsessed with a new shop here in Edmonton called Oak + Fort, a Canadian retailer based out of Vancouver and focuses primarily on uncomplicated and minimally designed clothing garments. I fell in love with a pair of lightwashed drawstring denim pants that can be rolled up to the ankle. The best part is, they fit any size! I added a long white waistcoat to provide a more structured look along with a grey crop top to provide an even color balance. I’ve come to learn that it’s better to enjoy the simple things in life, can we all agree on that? Enjoy!
