Lately I’ve been heavily inspired by floral patterns and what better way to show appreciation than to whip out a new staple piece from my wardrobe. As of this year, Adidas has been killing the fashion game since the return of the green patch on the iconic Stan Smith sneaker to hip hop sensations, Pharrell and Kanye West who have single handedly revolutionized the street wear culture with the release of two classic sneakers: Supercolor and the Yeezy Boost (sales increased by 29%). For the Adidas Spring/Summer 2015 Collection, the brand collaborated with Berlin-based Japanese artist Shinpei Naito, to release an exclusive women’s collection with the help of a few lily ponds and flower petals all in graphic print under the name “Asagao.” I managed to find me a pair of Asagao basketball shorts and the pattern is even bolder than it looks. I toned it down with a satin tank, strappy heels and a gold body chain to create a street-chic vibe. Oh, and about six hours after this photo was taken, the city of Edmonton underwent yet another lightning storm. *Hides in closet, again*
What are your thoughts on the Adidas Asagao print?
