Paint the Town Red

DSCN1832

When it comes to makeup and beauty, I like to keep it as minimal as possible with liquid eyeliner, mascara and a hit of MAC Mineralized Blush. Thanks to YouTube, Elle Magazine and MAC Cosmetics, I’ve come to terms that makeup can play an important role in terms of amplifying our best features. Needless to say, here are some of my favourite beauty products from my makeup bag and coincidentally, they all happen to be red… minus the BB Cream.

The one item that changed my life and face is the Pacifica Multi-Mineral BB Cream. It works on any skin tone and its purpose is to hydrate, prime and illuminate your skin color. It goes on as a face cream but finishes as a foundation, thanks to the mineralized pigments. For that sexy cat eye look, I reach for the Pacifica Smolder Eye Lining Gel in the Midnight shade. In terms of application, you will need an angled brow brush for it does have a creamy finish. As far as the lips, I like to keep it dramatic with the Isabel & Ruben Toledo Lipstick by MAC. Matte has become my best friend this year and what better way to prove my loyalty than snag up my baby Sin. She has a deep blood red aura to her that is guaranteed to leave a mark at the scene of the crime. I paint the town red with Essie’s “Really Red” for it remains relevant throughout the season. The best part was that it was on sale for $6.99 at Shoppers Drug Mart. To reduce chipping, I recommend trying Essie’s No Chip’s Ahead Top Coat clear polish that reduces chips, peeling, and additional fading to your nail color. Don’t believe me? Let’s just say that it’s been two weeks and I’m totally chip-free! The singular gold ring from Workhall Studio sits pretty on my middle finger while my ears stay hot with a set of red chili peppers that were purchased at a market during my visit to Hawaii.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday &

don’t forget to STYLE ON!
