Hello my lovelies! So happy to be back on the grid! The weather in Edmonton has not changed for the white powdery stuff that you call snow still covers the streets and rooftops. As badly as I wanted to whip out the midi skirt and high heels, unfortunately this weather does not support such a fashion choice. As my luck stated to fade, I came across an old pair of Air Jordan 1 Aqua’s that I had purchased during a trip to Vegas. It’s been a while since I rocked these bad boys and anyone who knows me, knows that I don’t play around when it comes to the sneaker game. In all honestly, I choose sneakers over heels any day. What I love about these sneakers is their authenticity and the fact that I have not seen anyone in Edmonton with these exact pair (very rare). As an Air Jordan connoisseur, I find I gravitate more towards the 1’s because of their versatility. You can literally wear these shoes with anything and it will be guaranteed to have heads turning. I paired these babies with a salmon satin blazer, a knit sweater with sequins detailing with a long symmetrical tee underneath. I wanted to create an Aimee Song meets Jerry Lorenzo type of get-up, especially with the layering of the sequin knit and grey tee. What are your thoughts on this getup? Oh, and thirty minutes prior to these photos, I saw what looked like a white wolf and screamed my head off while running to my car in a Usain Bolt type of fashion… yea, turns out it was a white wolf-like dog wanting to say hi. Awkward.
