This past Thursday, I had the opportunity to attend the grand opening of a local Edmonton boutique called Workhall. You may of read that name from my last few posts (click here if you don’t know what the frick I’m talking about). Since I take my networking craft very seriously, I thought I’d hipsterfy myself and bring my Nikon camera to capture the vibe of this grand opening. Lately I’ve been on a quest to familiarize myself with not only the Edmonton fashion scene, but with Edmonton as a whole. I always complain about how much I dislike Edmonton and want to get out and be more culturally aware (I still do), but at the same time, this city raised me into the person I am so I can’t really argue that. Soon as I stepped into Workhall, the energy was on a hundred. I have never seen so many well-dressed people in one room! Everybody was rockin their Campre pieces and engaging in real-life conversations as opposed to standing in the corner hand cuddling their iPhone 6’s. Its events like these that bring people together to form new friendships, share knowledge and most importantly, their vision. I met up with my girl Magy, who is also an Edmonton blogger and together we circled the store with hopes of finding a staple piece for her wardrobe. She scooped up the Stirling jacket in what it looks like a bronze/nickel metallic color. Own it babe! I also convinced my girl Macha to purchase a black dress with a slit on the left side. She rejected my proposal but I mastered the art of peer pressure that night (mwahaha). I saw her ten minutes later holding a white shopping bag with “Workhall” written on it. Own it babe! Check out some photos of the event below. Great job Nicole!
