No, I am not referring to the non-existent anticipated album by Dr.Dre (seriously Dre, make up your mind), I am referring to the removal of toxic or unhealthy substances from your body. In all honesty, I have never done a detox cleanse until I was on Youtube and found a variety of detox drink recipes and it hit me that one of my goals on my bucket list was to try new things. You go girl!!!!! A particular drink that got my hydration doing backflips was the Lemon, Cucumber Mint Water cleanse. The steps are not only simple, but the following three ingredients can benefit your body in several ways:
1.Lemons: Lemons are a great source when it comes to cleansing out the body, ridding of excess digestion. It is also known to boost your immune system.
2. Mint: mint leaves add the perfect touch of sweetness without having to add sugar and it helps with digestion.
3. Cucumbers: a few slices of cucumber helps gain hydration, aids in weight loss, and is filled with vitamins A, B, and C. I also found out that it also cures hangovers (eat a few slices before going to bed).
– 1 or 2 Large Lemons
– 1 Cucumber
– Mint Leaves
– 3 quarts of filtered water
Directions: Wash the lemons and cucumber, slice them thinly. Add sliced lemons, cucumber , and mint leaves to a pitcher, cover with water and refrigerate overnight.
