As some of you may know, I am a sneaker freak! If I had to choose between heels and sneakers, you damn well know I’m choosing sneakers. What’s wrong with being comfortable? Lately I’ve noticed on a lot of fashion blogs and style magazines that the slip-on sneakers are making an appearance. I fell in love with these skater-like sneakers when Céline’s Phoebe Philo premiered the effortlessly cool Tartan Slip-Ons in Plaid. It wasn’t until Marc, Jacobs, Givenchy, and Versace began taking up the sneaker trend using a variety of styles and colors. My dreams of owning a pair of these glorious sneakers have to be put on hold due to the price tags (sigh!). With the help of Steve Madden, H&M, and Aldo, fashionistas everywhere were able to purchase the sneakers for a reasonable price.
During a visit to Ross Dress for Less, I was gazing at the shoe section until I seen them, the black Steve Madden EccentricQ quilted slip-ons. They were staring at me, I kid you not. I picked them up only to see that not only were they in my size, but were a whopping $30! The versatility behind these sneakers is unreal, plus they’re comfortable. They slipped right on to my feet like Cinderella (Slip-On Cinderella, ha!). You probably know how the story ends, if you don’t, well, scroll down a bit after this.
